I remember David as being active in Indian Princess, "How, how!" He always told the story around the campfire to the Indian Princesses about "Rana..." The story was memorable to all who listened. Your loss is my loss as well as to many others. David was a gem. Fondest memories and prayers to your family.

David/MVP,

Words cannot express how much you are, and will be missed. I can hear your voice, your laugh, and your WHOOP. Your presence was always felt no matter what the situation. Your ability to relate to anyone and impact their lives was truly a gift, and envied by most. I met you and Beth for the first time 12 years ago in Austin, TX, and you both accepted me into your family that very first day. You treated me like a son from that day to your very last. I am eternally greatfull for that, and for having you in my life. You were not only a true friend, but a father figure to me. I feel like I have shared a lifetime worth of memories with you in such a short period of time. Marrying your daughter Karly, the birth of our 2 children, holidays, Aggie football wins and losses, golf, vacations, the list goes on and on. I will cherish all of those memories, and I know we will sing the Aggie War Hymn again on the other side. I miss you, and always will.

David - I will miss you my sweet friend and brother-in-law. Thank you for being you and sharing your awesome soul with us. You were authentic to the core and that is an undeniable gift and treasure for those in your life. I am positive your smile and funny perspective touched strangers as well - lifting their spirits and changing their day. I can hear your voice even now, and most definitely how you called me by my name. I will always cherish you and the times we were all together. I will honor you for the love you had for your family. I will savor all the memories along the way from my own childhood to teenage years to married with kids and beyond that we all shared together, but the thing that will forever be a sacred treasure in my heart was the gift you gave me of one of your hand-written letters at a time when I was scared and very much alone. You were young yourself when you did that for me, but it serves as a witness to me that even then you were tuned in, tapped in, and aware of what another may feel and need to hear as only one with a deep reservoir of love in action can do. Carry on brother and do your thing on the other side. I know the angels are dancing and the music is playing and everyone there is feeling really good inside. Until we meet again...
To Beth, Lyndsay, Karly and Chris ... well we just know - there are no words really. Thank you for the holy experience we witnessed and shared together. I love you and I hold you in my thoughts and prayers.

I will never forget spending time with him at your wedding in Cabo. He was a special guy and I don't think I stopped smiling for one minute when I was around him during those four days. I can picture playing horseshoes, dancing, goofing around at the pool and in the Cantina with him like it was yesterday. I hope your family knows what a lasting impression he made on me even though I only got to know him for such a short period of time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sincere condolences-

I am so sad to hear about David's passing! I was lucky to have worked with him twice; first at L&A Energy and then again at DKM Resources. He was a very sweet guy who had a big heart. He loved his family and especially loved being a grandpa! I'm sure going to miss this big guy! Beth, you, the girls and their families are in my prayers. One thing is for sure, you'll have a lot of memories to keep close to your heart. I sure do!

"Aggie Dave" was a tireless worker who, as a volunteer, gave freely of his personal time helping all the communities he and Beth lived in. He helped his current community during its infancy when it needed him. David, working full time in his oil and gas career, somehow made time to generously provide his leadership skills to his newly formed HOA Board. He left many legacies; helping his neighbors is just one of them.

God bless Beth and her family, they lost a terrific, talented and fun-loving personality.

Remembering David Knepper What a sad time, losing a great fiend in such a sudden and tragic manner. I remember the first time I met David Knepper, as well as Lindsay and Karly, in September of 1985 at a meeting of the YMCA Indian Princess program. Over the next three or 4 years we enjoyed many Indian Princess activities and camping trips, made memorable by David, his boundless energy, and his amazing Story Telling, especially 'Rana, the Monster of Lake Texana'. His amazing stories were loved by all the little Indian Princess, as well as the Dads.
We also have great memories of Men's and Mixed Tennis teams with David; what a great competitor; and he always exemplified the epitome of true sportsmanship. To all of David's family, especially Beth, Lindsay and Karly, I offer my most sincere condolences. I pray you will enjoy and cherish many wonderful memories.
Nobody ever had a better friend than David, and he will definitely be missed all who were fortunate enough to know him.
