My deepest sympathy and regard for Noreen and the entire Tobin family. Somewhere in Heaven there is an Irish tenor singing a tune whilst handstanding on the Michigan Ave. bridge of all our hearts..... God Bless.

Grandpa was never happier than when he was standing at the piano, holding hands with Grandma and surrounded by family, singing his heart out. Family sing-alongs in Chicago are among my most cherished memories.

He was utterly selfless and truly humble. I'm most proud to know him as someone who saw the humanity in all people. He recognized the worth of, and respected the dignity in, any job -- whether a janitor or a judge, a cashier or CEO, F X Tobin embraced and treated them the same. He valued service and honored that principle above nearly all else.

Even when we were kids, he made us feel important and worth paying attention to. Aways looking us in the eye, listening to whatever we had to say.

He loved to crack wise, always had a good zinger at the ready, and followed it quickly with a world-class wink.

What a life. Toasting to you tonight, Grandpa. Sail on!

What an amazing man, life and legacy! My favorite quote that I remember him saying is Cant beat an invitation! Meaning we cant be everywhere but its always nice to be asked and that its always nice to ask others so they know they are welcome. God Bless you all.

It is with love and gratefulness that I remember Frank. He was such a blessing to me and my children at such a difficult time, and actually changed my life by getting me to work at Greyhound Corp! Noreen, I love you and remember Frank with great love and respect. Noreen, you and Frank were a beautiful example and blessing to all around you and your family when you were in Phoenix. What good times we had! I think Frank would be so happy with all he has done and done for others! I have so many blessed memories of you all! My love and prayers to all the Tobin Family.

My sincerest condolences to the entire Tobin family. Frank Sr was the grandest of men whose spirit of kindness, compassion and love for family, country and God will live on in all of us who were blessed to have met him and know him (through his family and friends). The few times I was lucky enough to connect with him, I was immediately drawn to his great wit, great voice and oh that twinkle in his eye! And to echo what someone noted, truly the humanist of human beings. Heaven just became that more appealing - there's a new maestro!!

Frank Tobin was an outstanding man of God. Every choice he made was centered on goodness and love: his beautiful, faith-filled wife, Noreen; his joyful welcome of every child, making them feel special and always encouraging them to use their talents to make life better for all. Frank, himself, never lost sight of the needs of those less fortunate. It was my honor to meet and be inspired by this unique man for others. Today he enjoys eternal peace in the presence of the God he served so well.

Epitomized the power of faith, hope and love, positive attitude, selfless service and good example. A harmonizer in more ways than one. Conscientious parent, grandparent, uncle and friend. The humanest of human beings.
