James “Jim” Edward Sikorsky, age 83, of Greensburg, PA, formerly of White Oak, PA, died on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. He was born in McKeesport, PA on January 7, 1942 and was the son of the late Stanley Edward and Mary Louise Lichman Sikorsky.
Jim was a 1960 graduate of McKeesport Area High School and attended Northwestern University. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his military service, Jim had a lengthy career with the former US Airways in their aviation marketing and sales department. He later owned an independent consulting firm. He was a dedicated member of the White Oak Rotary Club, where he served as the charter secretary for six years. Jim was meticulous in his secretarial work and devoted himself to the causes of Rotary International. He was also a member of the General Smedley D. Butler Post 701, White Oak American Legion.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Olivia (Mark) Donnan of Pittsburgh, PA; cousins, Ray Fisher; Mary Ann Carvlin; Robert Sikorsky; and many friends and fellow Rotarians.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his sister, J. Susan Sikorsky, who died on December 26, 2017.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Jim’s memory on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A burial with full military honors will take place on Friday, December 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
