For some reason I woke up this morning thinking about you. I hardly knew you even a little bit. But you were one of the few people in high school who went out of your way to say hello to me. You had the kindest eyes and I won´t forget them. I hope you found peace.

I miss Maria so much, and I wish I could have had that one last conversation with her. The comfort lies in knowing that we are one year closer to seeing her again one day. Love you Maria.

Maria, you lived next door to me before you went off to college. I remeber you and chris had made a sledding hill in your backyard and me and frankie would come over and sled on it. countless times i have hopped the fence to get balls that bounced over. i remeber when you used to babysit me and you were such a pushover and always let us get our way and eat as many fudgebars as we wanted. at the wake i saw the pictures you drew and was so jealous. when we were oyunger id be over your hosue and i would see these alien pictures youdraw. i tried to copy them but i am not an atrist. im going to miss you and always think of you when i walk or drive by your house, i got my permit so yes ill be driving. im so glad you though of us and came over a few weeks ago to see our puppy. today i heard that you were one of seven people who made the reseacrh team and you came up with a way to preserve fruit fly food? you inspire me to do well in college. im going for medical too. ill miss you, you are so pretty. love you babes.

I had the pleasure of meeting Maria a few years ago at a gathering at my house. We immediately bonded because we're both Italian-American with the same name :) I was living outside of Western NY most of the time I knew her, but we talked a lot online. Even though I didn't know her extremely well, it didn't take long for me to notice that she's a girl who is wise beyond her years, full of extreme talent and light. To the Maggioli family: I send you my condolences. You raised a great daughter, and you are in my thoughts.

I didnt ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldnt mind) I asked him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind! I went to edison and hoover with maria and was lucky enough to have been very good friends with her when we were kids. she was always so funny and I have many wonderful memories with her. I had not seen her in a couple of years, then randomly a few weeks ago I ran into her at the library where I work and got to talk with her. she always had a natural effortless beauty inside and out, I'm glad I got to see her one last time.

Maria was such a beautiful girl-I truly did love her and will continue to think of her often. One summer day she spent time with my family and we had a nest of baby chickadees that had just left their nest and were still unable to fly. I will forever remember the look on her face while she held that tiny little bird in her hand-so beautiful. I'll see her again one day.
