Andy was a good friend and a wonderful person to work with, but I think we what we will all miss most is his wonderful sense of humor. He had a lot of laughs with me, and quite a few at me, as he was an adept practical joker as well! The world will be a poorer place in his absence.

Andy and I have been friends for nearly 40 years in the nuclear industry. We have been involved in many projects together. He was a true professional and a joyal friend. It still brings a mile whenever we used to tell our "redneck stories" about how we grew up in rural georgia. You will be missed, my friend.
God bless you Joyce. May the good Lord grant you peace during your time of sorrow.

We're sorry to hear that Andy has passed away. I served in the USN with Andy from 1964 to 1970 and have maintained the true bond as a shipmate to this day. It was great visiting with Andy once more in May this year. I'll miss your frequent and often numerous emails. Penny and I will miss your camaraderie at future Truxtun reunions.
