Although I was Eugene’s design teacher at the Goodman School of Drama, he taught me more than he learned from me. We shared mutual friendship and respect over the years. His unique style and unique personality will illuminate the theatre every night when the ghost light guards the empty stage. His brilliance, as always, fills the void.
