It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. George Alexander "Sugar" Lee on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at ECU Health North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
A visitation for Mr. George Alexander Lee, beloved by so many as "Sugar," will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at H D Pope Funeral Home, 520 Smith Church Road, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina 27870. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.
The family has entrusted the caring and compassionate team of H D Pope Funeral Home of Roanoke Rapids to handle the final arrangements for Mr. Lee.
The family welcomes you to share your favorite memories, light a candle in his honor, offer words of comfort, or leave a heartfelt message on the Tribute Wall.
