Pamela Sue (Jonas) Cascio, born on July 16, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Fredrick and Florence Jonas, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her children at age 65 on September 15, 2018 in Glenview, Illinois. Along with her children, Pamela is survived by her sister Carol Griffin, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Jonas and Robert Jonas; and sisters, Jeannette Estrada, Alice "Cindy" Stormer, and Nancy Schultz.
Pamela was special to many and touched the lives of others in several ways. She showed tremendous courage and dignity throughout her battle with ALS. Although her life was cut short, she loved her life and lived it to the fullest. Pamela was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Pamela lived her life in a selfless manner and requested no services in order to decrease burden or guilt on members of the family unable to attend so as requested by the deceased, the graveside service will be private.

Pam was my friend in grammar school; she lived down the block from me on 83rd Pl. in Chicago. I remember her kind heart even way back when we were kids.
Im sorry for your loss.

My Aunt Pam was a very loving and compassionate person. I will miss her very much. Rest in heaven Aunt Pam. I love you. Now you and my mom can go back to talking everyday again just like old times.

Pam was a loving woman for whom I/we had a very special relationship. She was a most cherished friend of my mother, Martha, who was instrumental in our impending relationship, as we both were attempting to cope with the loss of a beloved spouse. We shared many memorable times together, apple picking in Michigan, an excursion to Ho Chunk Casino in Wisconsin Dells, a trip to the upper peninsula of Michigan, drives to Lake Geneva as well as a forever memorable cruise to Alaska, not to mention the many dinners that we shared together. Pam was a very strong and independent lady who came to accept and deal with her diagnosis with ALS with extreme courage. I was and always will be honored to be a part of her life and will forever be inspired by the way in which she faced extreme hardship. Pam placed her trust in our Lord and always prayed for the strength which she needed to cope with the life that she that she was living. She was a true and courageous warrior and soldier of Christ. She has fought the good fight, has finished the race and has been rewarded with her rightful place in her heavenly home with her Lord and loved ones, eternally at peace to suffer no more. May her soul forever rest in peace. I'll always love you, Pam. My sincere condolences to the Cascio family. My thoughts and prayers to you Gasper, Tony & Tina.

Rest in peace Pam. You fought a hard fight. I will forever remember your beautiful smile and your laugh. Memories of sitting on our porches on Monitor drinking pop out of bottles. Will miss you dearly.
