My sincerest condolences to the Cody family. Sean prepared a gun trust for me some years ago and I was surprised to learn that we were also neighbors in Fall Creek. I have since moved away from Fall Creek, but recently the question of a gun trust came up and I immediately thought of Sean.
While I recognize that I am bit slow on the draw to recognize his passing, my sincerest condolences to you all as a family.

Jennifer, I met you many years ago - I believe you and Sean had an apartment off of Waugh Drive in Houston.
I was looking at old sailing pictures this evening and I saw one of Sean sailing with me on my J22 in Mississippi at Summer on the Coast. I was shocked to see he had passed away.
Sean was a wonderful person to sail with. I enjoyed his friendship during those many days of sailing regattas. My condolences to you and your family. Peter O'Connor

Jennifer and family we just found out about Sean. Our heart is with you. We will forever remember Sean for being fun but yet a great attorney. He helped my husband with custody of two of his boys and we will forever appreciate his hard work. We are so sorry for your loss and for the loss of a great man. Big Hug. Van and Ginger Tolar

I just received the news of Sean’s passing. I am stunned. Sean and I raced sailboats together in Fort Worth and in Houston in the 90’s and 2000’s and have stayed in contact with through correspondence. My heart goes out to his family who I know he was very proud of and loved dearly. Gods speed Sean and Cody family. Prayers for all.

Like so many others, I met Sean while attempting to get a trust done for NFA purposes. Im proud to say he quickly became a trusted friend. Cant begin to list all the things he helped me with, but, whenever there was a need he was always there. Once spent a day at the SHOT show with him-that was an absolute hoot. All I could do just to keep up with him! He was a fierce supporter of the second amendment and a true patriot. He lived life the way the man upstairs intended-to the absolute fullest. Think if one would have asked him if he had any regrets in life, you would have got a one word answer - nope! Also think the only thing on this earth he loved more than guns, watches, and cigars was his wife and his sons. Godspeed my friend, Ill miss you.

Sean was a good man. I got to spend some time with him while he was organizing Friday Night Guns, a social event he organized at various gun locations. He taught me a lot and helped me get started in NFA collecting. He was a great teacher, always willing to assist people by sharing is knowledge. Sean, you will be missed my friend. Sean was my NFA trust lawyer and thru that my friend. He helped me like many navigate those waters and formed a friendship thru it. He was a great man and missed by many but first and foremost he was a husband and father.

Jennifer Nathaniel and Johnathan,
Our thoughts hearts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Nothing compares to the love of a spouse and father. We want you to know that we are thinking about you and the boys and are here for you always, you are family!! We are just a call away. When the person you are closest to is gone, hold on to their memories and know that they are always with you. No one can ever replace the amazing person that Sean was. The love Sean had for you and the boys is something that can never be taken away. Hold on to that and know that he is there with you always.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Sean face to face our conversations on the phone were lively and candid on NFA issues and other things that crept into our conversations. When you meet someone of Sean's caliber you know you have someone you can trust and is a rare individual. I hope your family can find peace in your hearts knowing he was admired and loved by many and your in our prayers knowing you have lost for a short time the presents of such a great man, husband father and best friend.

I was totally stunned when I heard the news. I had to sit on my tailgate to wrap the news around my head. I will always remember Sean as a family man, a true gun enthusiast, and a really hilarious & fun loving attorney. I will certainly miss the conversations leading up to the "work related matters" we needed to discuss. Sean you were a friend first, a client second. You will be truly missed brother! Prayers to Jenn, and the boys.

Sean was a great friend, a part of my own gun related business. Helped me along into the world of NFA and a all around uplifting person to be around. I will miss his goofy shooting style, his cigars... Ok maybe not those.. his love of his children, his wife, his faith and everything around him. I wish the rest of the family the very best. My wife and I are truly sorry for your loss. Take care all of you... Peace and Love, Kevin and Khim Petitto

I met Sean like many, through his professional life. When I was trying to establish a NFA trust, he helped me navigate through the red tape, answered my questions honestly and without expectations. In the end, I went with Sean for my trust, for one reason only...his character. It wasn't until later when I discovered his love of time. Again, I had a very expensive piece and unlike everyone else who through numbers out at the drop of a hat, Sean called me and discussed my watch but didn't offer to buy it but rather told me who to talk to and if I still wanted to sell it, he would give me a fair deal. I never met Sean in person, but talked with him on several occasions and like I said before, the one thing that stood out was his character. I read many of the posts online and I see that I am not alone with my opinion. Sean's loss is a great one but hopefully his family and close friends can take comfort in the fact that he enriched many lives over the course of his short life.
