Charlene Pearman

Charlene Faye Pearman, 85, of Granite City, Ill., born Sept. 8, 1930, in Mattoon, Ill., passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Mo.

Charlene retired in 1992 from Dolly Madison Bakery in Granite City after 25 years of dedicated years as the manager and clerk. She attended City Temple Assembly of God Church in Granite City and enjoyed her days of shopping, playing the piano and tending to her flowers. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lowell L. Pearman Sr., whom she married on Feb. 5, 1947, in Cairo, Ill., and who died Sept. 3, 2010; a daughter, Shelly Pearman; parents, Rev. Charles Samuel and Mary Irene, nee Weber, McGinnes; four brothers, John, Ray, Bob and Paul; and three sisters, Mildred, Lillian and Rosemary.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell "Joe" and Valerie Pearman Jr., of Granite City, Michael and Betty Pearman of Edwardsville and William "Bill" and Patty Pearman of Granite City; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl "Sher" and Aaron Kindlesparger of Chesterfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jan McGinness of Edwardsville; a sister, LaDonna Mundy of Granite City; her beloved dog, Bud; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and many friends.

Visitation: In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.

Visitation will continue from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at City Temple Assembly of God Church, 4751 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at City Temple Assembly of God Church with Rev. Al Langston and Rev. Mark Pearman officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.
