Steven Coleman Pearman, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, with his children by his side.
He was born on January 31, 1952, to the late Allen Pearman and Eunice Knight Pearman.
Steve will be remembered affectionately for his endless “piddling”, as he called it. You could always find him tinkering with cars, tractors, and other mechanics. Steve was a lifelong resident of Guilford County and enjoyed being surrounded by the familiar. Family was important for Steven, and he would do anything for his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Travis Allen Pearman and Louann Pearman; a grandson, Whit James Pearman; as well as his daughter's, Katherine "Katie", mother, Susan Emory Pearman.
Surviving are his son, Steven Pearman; his daughter, Katherine "Katie" Elizabeth Pearman; two grandchildren, Sara Pearman and Lily Pearman; his first wife, Janet Pearman; sister, Carolyn Nelson; as well as other extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Bethel Methodist Church with Pastor Charmaigne Van Rooyan officiating.
