Larry Ray Brewer, 79, of Kernersville, NC passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home. He was born on January 22, 1947, in Forsyth County.
Larry worked as a forklift driver at Taylor Brothers Tobacco for 45 years before retiring. He enjoyed many vacations to both Carolina and Kure Beach. Larry had a huge collection of t-shirts but especially liked his Harley Davidson and Big Dog brands. In his free time, Larry enjoyed watching NASCAR and taking trips to goodwill.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Widener Levens; stepfather, Robert Levens; and brother, Jerry Wayne Widener.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Eaton Brewer; loving daughter, Teresa Brewer; nephews, Derek Morphies, Jerry Widener, and Jeff Widener; and niece, Tracy Thompson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Rev. Frank Shumate and Pastor Brian Vanderford. The burial will follow the service at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
