Danny Creighton Brewer of Oglesby passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026. No services are scheduled at this time.
Danny was born on December 11, 1949, in Mooresville, North Carolina to Mary Katherine and James Paul Brewer. He moved to Gardena, California and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Katherine and Reginald Eyles. Reginald passed away in 1987. After his mother passed in 2006, Danny moved to McGregor, Texas with his nephew and his wife, Kevin and Shanan. He finally settled in Oglesby, Texas where he lived with his beloved pup, Maybelline. Danny owned a record store in his younger days, Spider Records, and had a deep love for music, especially Emmylou Harris. He spent a lot of time at Joshua Tree National Park in California and loved to share stories of his time there.
Danny is survived by his nephew and wife, Kevin and Shanan Sparkman of Little Rock, Arkansas; best friend and caregiver, Sara Johnson; and cousins, Donna and Gary Hoppenrath of Statesville, North Carolina and Terry Lyon of Torrance, California.
Danny asked to be cremated and spread over running water. He was a good man with a huge heart. He liked to shock people with his words and stories and enjoyed the laughter that it brought to those close to him. He was loved and will be missed.
