Randy Dee Hafen , Enterprise, Utah, passed away from an automobile accident on January 2, 2017 at 6:18 PM. Randy was born on July 20, 1988 to Gary & Marie Hafen/Joseph Hardy in St. George, Utah, and was raised in Ivins Utah. He graduated High School from Cedar City High . His passions included demolition derby's and building cars & trucks with his friends. He truly enjoyed going places and was always up for an adventure, or lending a helping hand. He is survived by his parents Gary and Marie Hafen/Joseph Hardy,his son Justin Slama his 3 Sisters Eva Marie, Martha Rose, and Darci Ann Hafen, all of Enterprise, Utah, half-brother Garrick Hafen of Newcastle, Utah, his two half-sisters Janice Blanchard of Victorville, California and Tracy Hovater of Draper, Utah, his grandparents and many other relatives. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Hughes Mortuary, 1037 East 700 South, St. George, Utah. There will be a visitation Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. all at the same location. Burial in the Enterprise cemetery to immediately follow the services. Arrangements in the care of Hughes Mortuary 435-674-5000. I am so sorry for your loss. I was watching bones and I saw the sad news about Randy`s passing. I went onto Facebook and I was able to see the beautiful memorial page that you´ve put together. What a beautiful way to keep his memory alive. Having recently lost my father a couple months ago and my mother several years ago I do understand the loss of a loved one. I hope that time has brought some measure of healing for Randy`s family and friends.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I read something somewhere after my mom passed that brought me some sense of comfort, hopefully I can remember it correctly. We will never be the same after losing someone we love, nor would we want to be. Our heart will forever be changed. Just as a lizard might grow back a lost tail, it's not the same, identical. We may feel like our heart will never grow back or heal. It does, slowly and never the same. That's ok. We don't want it to be the same. Someone you loved, someone who had a profound effects on your life deserves to be mourned and to change you forever. Hopefully you can remember all the times he made you laugh. I keep a book by the side of my bed. I write quotes that touch my heart. I also include stories that I remember or that others tell me because I never want to forget them. May your family be blessed with live, and happiness and memories until you see each other again. Mugh love.

I just watched the "Bones" episode in which your son, Randy was remembered. I am so sorry for the grief all of you are going thru. I lost my husband of 32 years, to pancreatic cancer four years ago so I know the horrible grief you are experiencing. There are no words of comfort to give you because there is an emptiness in your heart that cannot be filled. You will never get over the loss of Randy but, you will learn to live with it over time. I pray that you will feel the arms of God wrapped around you and please, try to concentrate on the happy memories instead of what is now missing. My condolences to all of you.

On 3/7/17 it was a month since I lost my mother. When I watched "Bones" and saw the In Memory of Randy it reminded me of my pain. She passed after an 11 year struggle with Alzheimers. Randy was taken due to a tragic accident. The loss of a family member, loved one, or friend the pain remains the same. I pray that Randy is at peace in heaven. God bless his family, his son, and all his friends. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Parents should NOT have to bury their children, they should bury us. I know from experience. The hurt will never go away but it will get easier as time goes on. So sorry for your loss. I saw the dedication to Randy after watching the episode of Bones from 03/07/17. Life is so precious and when someone so young loses their life, especially in such a tragic way, it really makes you appreciate those that are in your life.
