Nan Drummond Obituary
Nan was born on August 17, 1943 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and was raised on her family's cattle ranch near Hardy. She attended Oklahoma State University and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Nan married Charles R. "Chuck" Drummond on August 17, 1964 during their senior year at OSU. She graduated with a degree in Textile Merchandising in May 1965.
Nan and Chuck raised three sons on their family ranch near Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Over the years, Nan owned a clothing store, spearheaded a western art show, organized cutting horse events, and helped Chuck with his many ventures, but her primary interest was being home on the ranch, raising a family and enjoying country life. She is lovingly remembered for her quiet strength, innate kindness, strong Christian faith, and devotion to family.
Nan is survived by her husband of 53 years, Chuck; along with son Tim Drummond and his wife, Missy; son Ladd Drummond and his wife, Ree; grandchildren Alex, Caleb, Paige, Halle, Bryce, and Todd Drummond; mother Edna Mae Olsen; sister Diane Shafer and her husband, Dick; brother John B. Olsen; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Todd O. Drummond and her father, John William (Bill) Olsen.
A funeral service for Nan Drummond will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Pawhuska on Friday, June 1 at 4:00 pm. Memorial donations in memory of Nan can be made to Samaritan's Purse (samaritanspurse.org).

So very sad that Miss Nan has been gone almost 5 years and her beloved husband Mr. Chuck Pa-Pa joined her in November of 2022 ! I can´t help but believe he had a broken heart missing his beloved wife ! He is with Grammy and their son Todd now forever in peace ! Godspeed !

Well, it's already been a little over a year since Sweet Nan passed away. I rewatched the Celebration of Nans life on PW yeasterday. It still brings tears to my eyes.
Tears of remembering when I lost my precious Mother in Love (1986) and my Mother (1999). Sad times for sure.
May God's Blessings continue to bring all the Drummond family Peace.

It's been a year since Nan passing through it all God has been and is still in control of it all he said he would never put more on you than you could bear just always remember her by doing something she loved to do and from watching the show she loved her family and friends so big remembrance celebration is a good way to honor her we did that the first year my mother had passed 2010 so my family knows what this means for you be blessed and lots of love y'all way.

I was so shocked when I watched the PW show airing yesterday in the UK about Nan's passing. Over the years I have watched the show not just for Ree's cooking but enjoyed watching the entire family working, celebrating and encouraging each other. As hard as I'm sure it was filming the show at the time, thank you for sharing it with us. It was a beautiful heartfelt tribute. I am sure she was so proud of all her family and the love you all have for each other and for her is clear to see. A strong loving family bond and your faith will get you through the hardest of trials in life. My sincerest condolences and prayers are with all the Drummond and Olsen families.

I have been reluctant about watching the
Celebrating Nan episode, because I lost my husband of 45 years to cancer.
To see the grief in everyone's eyes, and on the faces of her beloved family, was hard to watch. I could actually feel your pain through the TV.
I will watch each of Pioneer Woman's shows until the very end.

Not much in this dog gone old world brings a tear to this 80 year old man's eyes, but simply reading about a 100 condolence messages did it for me. I echo here just about every message I read.
I've never been able to find the right words when someone loses a loved on. Just about the only thing I know is to say she is in a far far better place now with God, Jesus and the holy angels.
As the family gathered at the cemetery to spruce it up prior to Ms. Nan's service I observed the grief on most all of the family's swollen faces no doubt caused by their tears.
While Ms. Nan was there with all of you she created many beautiful memories that are yours to keep and share until you meet up with her once again.

Thank you for sharing your loss and a part of the celebration of Nan's life with America. I was so saddened when I checked the info for the episode this morning. I stated to cry as soon as I read it. Even though we have never met, you let us come into your lives every Saturday morning. When Ree first started "The Pioneer Woman" I watched the first episode and couldn't wait to tell my husband about this lovely family. It became a tradition for us to watch together every Saturday morning. My husband became critically ill for 11 months and we would still watch together in the Hospital. He loved seeing the ranch life and listen to the Drummond sons and Chuck. We always called him "Paw Paw" too. It was such a delight when they would be on the show. In this day and age it is wonderful to see that family values have been passed down from one generation to the next by their lovely matriarch. The strong work ethic that the grandchildren have been taught is almost unseen in today's youth. The respect and love that they show their parents and grandparents is very sweet. The Christian values Chuck and Nan passed on to their family is something that they can be proud of. It was so touching to see the entire Drummond family and all of the cowboys out there all working together to make the cemetery look it's best for the arrival of Ms Nan. I'm glad that Ree started her show. I still watch it every Saturday, even though I have to watch by myself now. It makes me feel like I still have my husband right there with me. The entire show every week is like a big bowl of comfort food for the soul. It just makes you feel good. My sympathy goes out to the entire family. Once again, Thank-you for letting us be a part of your family every week. May the comfort of the Lord be with each and everyone of you at this time.

Many tears across America today as we all feel your loss. Thank you for sharing a part of the celebration of Nan's life. This could not have been an easy task. The Christian values Chuck and Nan passed on to their sons is now passed on to many of us via the TV program. You probably already know... IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE FOOD.... I watch this show like I used to watch The Waltons. A comfy place where people love and are loved. I will miss seeing Nan's beautiful face. I hope to meet her one day. Rest in the arms of Jesus, Nan.
