FERNALD, Donna Of Falmouth, formerly of Chestnut Hill, passed away peacefully, on January 14, 2019, at the age of 92. Born in Boston, Donna grew up in Jamaica Plain. She was a talented figure skater, who began her career at the Lars Anderson Rink in Brookline, and was instrumental in starting and coaching the figure skating program at Boston College, where she worked for many years. Donna had a passion for gardening, architecture, classical music, and just spending time at her spot in Falmouth, on the ocean. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Donna will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Donna was the wife of the late Joseph Arthur Fernald. Loving mother of Joseph P. Fernald, and his wife Beverly of Braintree. Sister of the late Naomi Riseman. Dear "Nana" to Joseph Fernald, Jr., Jaim?e Fernald, and Sean Fernald.
