Mauro Maggiani Obituary

Published by McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations from Nov. 23 to Nov. 24, 2021.
Mauro Maggiani, born on March 10, 1962 in Bristol, Pa passed away in his Bristol Borough home on November 18, 2021. Mauro was a graduate of Frankford High School followed by a career in sales. Mauro loved life and enjoyed living on the river where he often fished and kayaked with his grandchildren. He was a devout fan of all Philadelphia sports, loved to fish, camp at Knobels, make jokes, and travel. His biggest passion and love was for his two children Amanda Maura Maggiani and his son Mauro Joseph Maggiani. That was the case until his two grandchildren were born, Matthew J. Clegg Jr. and Noah B. Kief, when Pop Pop became his new identity and purpose for living. Our family is devastated by this loss and has wonderful memories of vacations, family parties and big family holidays. Now Mauro is our angel and back with his mother and father. Mauro is predeceased by his Mother Lavina (Lee) and Father Daniel and is survived by his six brothers and sisters; Daniel (Colleen), Martin (Karen), Michael, Robert, Kathleen Galante (late Anthony) and Theresa Zenak (Paul), his two children Amanda and Mauro, his two grandchildren Matthew and Noah, aunts Helen O'Brien (Frank), Anne Morrell (late Robert) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday November 29th from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations 6126 Torresdale Avenue. Words of Remembrance 11:30 AM and his interment will be held privately at a later date. Please share your fondest memories of Mauro at PhillyFunerals.com. My deepest sympathies to the entire Maggiani family. Mauro was a great guy with a sense of humor like no other! I enjoyed many intimidating family dinners with the Maggiani family growing up with my childhood best friend Terri. There was always good food and an open invitation to any and all friends! With plenty of brothers gathered around the table as they did every night as a family for dinner, it always presented the perfect opportunity to interrogate me on what their little sister was up to in her personal life as a preteen and then into our high school years. Mauro often took the lead in those interrogations. He will be genuinely missed and remembered fondly! Rest In Peace! ❤
