Marc MAROTTA Obituary

MAROTTA - Marc R.
It is with great sorrow that the family of Marc R. Marotta announces his unexpected passing on October 12, 2022, at the age of 54 in Florida. He is survived by his beloved son, Anthony; parents, Frank and Mary Marotta and Gail Johnson; siblings Patti Marotta, Michael Marotta, Toni Roberts (Daniel), Chris Johnson (Becky); several nephews, Jake, Noah, Braden and niece, Emily. He was predeceased by stepfather William and brother Tim Johnson. Marc graduated from Lockport Senior High and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. Throughout his young life he enjoyed playing Little League baseball and Kenan youth hockey. He played for the Lockport Lions club hockey team and eventually turned his attention toward bodybuilding. Marc learned to cook at an early age and pursued a career in the food industry spanning over 35 years. He owned and worked as executive chef in several restaurants in Buffalo, Las Vegas, Tennessee, and Florida. Marc will be fondly remembered for his delicious cuisine. Marc was an avid dog lover and cared for many Akita and Newfoundland dogs throughout his life. His canine friends Tora, Simone, and Zilla were a significant part of his life for many years. He is also survived by his precious eight-year-old Newfie, Bella. Marc had a big heart and has touched many lives in his short life. He will be sorrowfully missed. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends may honor Marc with a small donation to support the rescue and adoption of the animals he so loved: https://www.ncarescue.org/ or to https://akitarescue.rescuegroups.org/info/donate.
