Gloria Stearn Williams

1941 - 2022

Gloria Stein Williams October 1, 2022 Gloria Williams was born December 4,1941 in South Bay, Florida, and moved to Syracuse, New York with family in the late 40's early 50's where she attended Syracuse Schools and graduated from Central High School. After graduating she continued her education in Philadelphia, PA as a LPN, and graduated from Onondaga Community College as a RN. She worked at Crouse Memorial/Crouse Irving in the ICU before moving to San Diego, CA. While in San Diego, Gloria continued her passion and love for caring for people by continuing her nursing and also teaching various courses / skills to students. Gloria finally retired after 30 years from Kaisers Medical Center in San Diego, and also played piano for the Maranatha Seventh Day Adventist Church in San Diego for many years before returning to Syracuse, New York. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Frank Williams, parents, Dan and Edna, sister Dannie Mae, brothers John, Benjamin and Dan Jr. Stephens, sister Carmella Butler and sister-in-law Alice Stephens. Surviving, her daughter Kaye Calabrese, grandson Brandon Vannier, both of San Diego Ca, sisters, Mary Davis, Arme Lee (Anthony) Brooks and Vanessa Stephens all of Syracuse, New York along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews. Viewing will be November 1st, at 10:30am with service to follow at 11:00 at Garland Bros. Funeral home, 143 Martin Luther King West, Syracuse, NY 13205. Burial at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
