Celestine SZEMENCIAK Obituary
Of Sloan, NY at the age of 111 and 3 days passed away peacefully on April 8, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to the late Peter Szemenciak and the late Stewart D. Bowman; loving mother of Patricia Bowman (late Stanley) Kwiatkowski, Deanna Bowman Machtel, Peter J. (Karen) Szemenciak, late Paul M. Szemenciak and Carol Szemenciak (Jerry) Morris; cherished grandmother of the late David Kwiatkowski, Kim (Linda) Kwiatkowski, Cindy (Terry) Mesmer, Cheryl (George) Barker, Jill (David) Pfalzer, Jeff (Janell) Kwiatkowski, Beth (Sam) Lauricella, Dina (Patrick) Goembel, 17 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; daughter of the late Frank and Rose (nee Rosinski) Siemankowski; predeceased by siblings Rosalie Siemankowski Owsian, Dr Francis (Stephanie) Siemankowski, Louise Siemankowski, Raymond Siemankowski (WWII, U.S. Army Aviator, KIA), and John Carl (Emily) Siemankowski; also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Sally was the 4th oldest person in New York State and the oldest parishioner of St Andrews Parish in Sloan. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 3-8 PM at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd., Cheektowaga (2 blocks south of William St.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:30AM in St. Andrews RC Church, corner of Reiman & Crocker Sts., Village of Sloan. Please assemble at Church. Interment in St Matthews Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Sally's name to St Andrews Church, Sloan, the Beechwood Foundation or a charity of your choice.
