George Brink Obituary

Published by Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home on Feb. 18, 2005.
On February 17, 2005, George Louis Brink, went to be with the love of his life, Betty Sue, who preceded him in death in 1997. He was born October 22, 1927 in El Dorado, Arkansas.

He is survived by daughters, Paula B. Johnson (Brock), LaWanna Faye Archer (Jim), and Ramona Hatley (Tim); six grandchildren, Amber Althoff (Steve), Rachel Archer, Taylor Johnson, Sloan Johnson, Blake Martin, and Brandon Hatley; three great grandsons; Pierce, Hayden, and Harrison Althoff; one brother, John Brink; a sister Betty Gimble; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.

George was an employee of Greyhound Bus Lines for 49 years before he retired in the late 1980’s. George was a kind, caring, father, grandfather, great grandfather; and friend. His wit and playful sense of humor was known to all. Though a man of few words his presence will be sorely missed on this earth.

A special thank you to the staff of Foxridge Estates for their exceptional care and love. The family would also like to thank Southwest Regional Medical Center nursing staff for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 21, 2005 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock (501) 661-9111. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Dad,

Already I miss you terribly, you were so brave even until the very end. My only comfort is knowing that you and Mom are together again, and that someday I will be with you both.

Dad,

I love you with all my heart and there won't be a day for the rest of my life that I won't think of you and all the fun times we shared. My heart is broken that you are not here with me but I find comfort knowing that someday we will be together again.

Loving you forever,

Your baby daughter
