Betty V. Sager

Betty V. Sager, age 94, of Adrian died Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. She was born October 2, 1921, in Wauseon, Ohio to Theodore and Celia Edith (Tressler) Fouty. On December 24, 1939, she married E. Harvey Sager. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2006. Betty had been employed by Drager Public School Cafeteria for 12 years as cashier, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Adrian. Betty is survived by one daughter, Linda Sue (Ronald) Sibson of Prescott, AZ; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three nieces, Virginia Merillat of Angola, IN, Florence Martz of Wauseon, OH and Lois (Robert) Whitmer of Wauseon, OH; and a nephew, H.A. (Grace) Williams of Columbus, OH; and two step-nephews, Fred Pehl and Clifford Duke. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Brown; a son, Thomas at birth; one brother and five sisters. Funeral services for Betty will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home with Pastor Drew Hart officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Wauseon, Ohio.
