BRENT MULHOLLAND
LIMA — On November 11, 2016 Brent J. Mulholland entered eternity of everlasting peace and happiness while wrapped in the arms of his loving wife. It was then that the months of pain, now known to have been caused by a very rare infection called Aspergillus, had finally ceased.
Brent was with us for only 43 short years but in such time he created a legacy of love, dedication, strength, and humor which will carry on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Brent was born April 14, 1973 in Lima, Ohio and graduated from Spencerville High School in 1991. He was a stellar athlete even through college playing baseball at OSU Lima until finishing college out of the College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University in Columbus in 1996. He began his career as a pharmacist at Grant Medical Center in 1997 and developed many special friendships, even meeting Angie there in 2003. He had several hobbies, but the most prominent ones included following Yankees baseball, fishing, and home improvements. He really could make/fix/improve anything and loved watching HGTV and DIY Network for new ideas.
Brent was forever committed to his wife, Angie and took on (nearly) anything she asked of him. She was the love of his life and countless times told her how much he loved being on life's journey with her. They made an unstoppable team together.
Brent was the epitome of a loving father; such patience and tenderness but also a teacher, a listener, and a playmate. He packed lunches, built them elaborate play gardens, helped at every bath and bedtime. Read stories nightly and always tucked them in with tickles and kisses.
To Victoria, his daughter (8) who was always wrapped around his finger. He looked at her with such love, the love a daddy only has for his little girl. His patience excelled in helping her with homework nightly and teaching her to read. He was the daddy who loved to develop elaborate, funny, imaginative play scenarios to make her laugh and her eyes sparkle.
To Bennett, his son (5); his little mini-me. Brent loved spending time crashing Matchbox cars, building train tracks, and creating Super Hero story lines with such Brent humor that Bennett would stop and look at him with seriousness trying to figure it out. He had such pride in watching Bennett play T-ball; race around in his gator in the backyard, and seeing how quickly he picked up on things/how bright he is.
Left to celebrate his life are his wife, Angie; children Victoria and Bennett. Parents Vickie (Mike) Dickrede, Allen (Marilyn) Mulholland, brother Chuck (Tressa Mulholland), sister Shelby Mulholland, step-sisters Stephanie (Nate) Stahl, Stacy Dickrede, step-brother Tony (Brittany) Wourms, grandparents Irene Lape and Barb Mulholland, father/mother-in-law Mike (Kim) Jamison; brother-in-law Matt (Jessica) Jamison, along with many nieces and a nephew all of which he loved greatly.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Dick Lape, Russell Mulholland and Marjorie Page.
A quote found left behind by Brent: "Our self-portrait is merely a simple description that we have made of ourselves and that we are in fact much more than this." (author unknown)

Being Bennetts preschool teacher, I got to see first hand the joy and pride in Brent's eyes each day as he came into my classroom. Angie as well. Such amazing parents to both Bennett and Victoria. This has been truly heartbreaking. Sending prayers for peace and comfort during this difficult time. My family extends their deepest condolences to the Mulholland family. - Dustyn, Sean and Jordan Francis
