KAREN FISHER (MAZURKEWICZ-SABO)

On March 27, 2026, Karen passed away at the age of 79. She was born March 13, 1947 in Cleveland, graduated from Parma Senior High School (class of 65) and attended Tri-C, Ohio State University and Cleveland State University. Karen lived in Hawaii and Las Vegas, NV before returning to Cleveland with her husband in retirement. She held many positions during her work career: clerk at Sterling Lindner, supervisor at Ohio Bell Telephone Co., Assistant Manager at McInernys on Oahu and supervisor/ office manager at Centel in Las Vegas. Karen was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her parents Ed and Dolores (Klopp) Mazurkewicz and her brother Mark. She is survived by brother James, sister-in-law Helyn (Rians) Mazurkewicz, niece Meagan (James) Scott and nephew Michael Mazurkewicz (lulia Gruar). She cherished her grand-nephews: Landon, Logan and Lucas Mazurkewicz and Zachary Scott.

Karen was grateful for the love her family and friends gave to her. She felt very lucky to have had neighbors who were angels living near her. Funeral Mass at St. Stephen Church,1930 West 54th St., Cleveland, OH 44102 on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Parking for the church is off of W. 57th Street. Reception immediately following at the Busch South Community Room located at 7501 Ridge Road, Parma, OH 44129. Inurnment will take place privately at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Brook Park, Ohio. Sec: 36 Lot: 987 Grave: 2 at later date. Cremation by Busch Crematory.
