Francis Wreede

LIMA — Francis E. Wreede, age 77, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center with his loving family by his side.

Francis was born April 9, 1941 in Lima to the late Evan and Leona (Vonderembse) Wreede. On September 29, 1961 he married the love of his live Linda "Jean" (Golliher) Wreede who survives in Lima.

Francis was a 1959 graduate of Vaughnsville High School. He retired as an electrician from the Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant after forty five years of service. He enjoyed antique cars, car shows and NASCAR racing. He especially loved spending time with family and friends and traveling. He was a member of the UAW Local Union #1219.

Survivors include his wife of fifty six years, Linda "Jean" Wreede of Lima; son, Scott (Debra) Wreede of Wapakoneta; daughter-in-law, Annette (Lance Brown) Wreede of Delphos; grandson, Brion Wreede of Waynesfield; granddaughter Kathleen Wreede of Stuebenville; sister, Mary Myers of Elida; Brother, Paul Wreede of Zanesville; special friends, Ann and Rev. Jay Roller of Lorain and Bill and Peg Henson of Elida; brother-in-law, Bob Golliher of Lima and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a son, Mike Wreede; brother John Wreede; sisters-in-law, Bernice Joseph and Judy Griffith; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Gallaher, Lawrence Golliher, Earl Golliher, Marvin Golliher.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Rev. Jay Roller will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the funeral home.
