Michael Scott Krogh

1988 - 2016

Michael Scott Krogh, 27, unexpectedly passed away February 24, 2016, in Lodi, California. He was born October 26, 1988, in Lodi.
Michael graduated from Lodi High School, class of 2007. He enjoyed participating on the Lodi High School football team. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army in South Korea, Afghanistan, and Kuwait with the U.S. Army 2-8 Infantry Battalion, 4th Infantry Division and 89th Military Police Brigade attaining the rank of Sargent. He received several medals for his outstanding military service. Michael received an honorable discharge in 2014 and began pursuing a vocational degree at Universal Technical Institute in Sacramento. He excelled and was at the top of his class. He enjoyed practicing at the shooting range, scuba diving, archery, and geocaching which is an outdoor recreational activity, in which Michael used his GPS to hide and seek containers called geocaches with treasures inside.
Michael is survived by his loving dad, Christian Krogh and wife, Gale, of Lodi; beloved sister, Kristin Krogh and niece, Ava of Lodi; devoted grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Weyland of Lodi, and Mr. Herbert Oberle and Mrs. Janice Oberle of Galt; also many aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving mom, Pamela Oberle Walker Krogh.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, 1:00 p.m., at Temple Baptist Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Rd., Lodi. Interment will be at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi.
