Gordon Moore Obituary
Gordon was born June 30, 1934 to parents Earl & Mildred Moore, an only child. Gordon's father, worked for the federal government building dams throughout the west, as such Gordon was exposed to many adventures as a young man and grew to love the outdoors.
Gordon started his professional career as a surveyor and worked in the outdoors he loved, surveying in Idaho, Oregon & Washington state. Gordon went on to further his career as a Contract Specialist for the Bureau of Reclamation, working in Los Banos Ca. Gordon's career with the Federal Government continued until he retired out of Anchorage Alaska as a Contracting Officer, responsible for hiring firefighting aircraft for the U S Forest Service for the State of Alaska.
Gordon loved life, he loved Sharon and his family and was happiest behind the wheel of his car with Sharon by his side, exploring the great outdoors, always in awe of what God had created.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife Sharon Moore, their children, Brad Moore and Gweyn Kuper, their grandchildren, Kenneth Kuper and Jessica Lawrence and their great grandchildren, Anne and Kennedy Kuper.
A viewing will be held on Friday August 8th, 3pm to 6:30pm at Lodi Funeral Home 725 Fairmont Ave Lodi, CA. His memorial service will be held on Saturday August 9th at 11:30 am at Lodi Funeral Home. 725 Fairmont Ave Lodi, CA followed by fellowship and food at Grace Point Church, 801 S Lower Sacramento Rd Lodi, CA.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Gordon's name to American Stroke Association, or a charity of your choice.
