Irene Mae Moore

1935 - 2025

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of Irene Mae Moore. She died peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in Lodi, CA, at the age of 90.
Irene was born in Lodi, CA, on February 24, 1935, to the late Harry and Christina (Schopp) Schuber and was a proud graduate of Lodi High School. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Lawrence Elton Moore, Jr. and her brothers Roy, Harold, and Alvin Schuber. She is survived by her three children, Linda Zachary, her husband Alan, Colleen Pringle and Michael Moore. She also leaves behind her grandsons, Todd Zachary, Adam Zachary, Bobby Zachary, and Matthew Petty; her granddaughters Meagan Haag and Madeline Moore; 17 great-grandchildren; and her sisters Bernice Rossi and Nadine McLane, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene, along with her husband and children, embarked on a journey that took them from Lodi to Stockton, then to Gualala, a charming coastal town, where she retired from her career in banking. They later moved to Clearlake and ultimately returned to her cherished hometown of Lodi. In her younger years, Irene found joy in camping and exploring ghost towns with her husband and children. She loved playing board games and cards, and in her later years, she eagerly anticipated her weekly bingo and domino outings. She also enjoyed playing solitaire on her computer and visiting Reno to try her luck at the slot machines. She had a passion for sewing and crocheting and was famously known for making the best "Halupsi's" with pink gravy. Irene was a devoted member of the Grace Point Church and truly cherished her Sundays there.
Irene lived a full and happy life, touching many with her infectious smile and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to attend her memorial service on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Grace Point Church, located at 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi. The internment will be private.
