Michelle was like no other woman Ive ever met. I babysat you and Nicole when you were just little blips. I would take you to North Beach to swim and play in the sand. Your mom always left hotdogs and beans for me to give you for supper. Then you grew up on me and had a family of your own. I was resting on the dock when you came flying by in your boat insisting I get on water skis again.... so I did! That was our last encounter. I found out too late of your passing...two days before my birthday. I was so sad I couldnt be there to pay my respects. But you knew I loved you like a little sister. Always laughing nutty quirky Thats Michelle. I think of you often. Know well how much you were loved

so when i first saw michele from a distance i knew i would love her. i watched her play, wrestle and nurture her family at north beach. before i knew it we were counted amongst her friends. it took my house burning down to get in, but it was worth it. she played tether ball like an olympic athlete. she was always up for a run, a softball game or a day of skiing with all the kids of the knolls. i got to know her well when we took a 3 hour kayak ride to the isle beach and back. not since college have i meet a woman who would or could take on any physical challenge put before her. her actions and energy reminded me to play with my kids, not to just sit on the beach and watch. i wish i knew her longer and i will forever miss her. i am grateful that tommy julia tj and mia will be with us to keep her memory strong. her kids are are so much like her in so many ways. thank you michele for being the nicest mean person i ever meet. it s impossible to say good bye so i won't.

I think of Michele as hilarious, brassy and confident. Such a great, clear memory from the college days. I think of her children and husband and know they will have clear memories of all the raucous good that Michele shared with them. My deepest sympathies on your great loss.

I have written a piece about her called Three Men and an Artist. It is about the lovely tributes paid to her by three men...Mr. Costas, Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Letterman. It can be found by going to www.examiner.com and entering Mr. O's name. Big hugs. Always with us, she is. Hugs. xo

I was so saddened to hear about Michelle's passing. I have so many memories of her, Nicole and their Mom, between babysitting the girls, North Beach, Aunt Barbara's etc. She was such a sweet girl filled with spirit and energy who reached for the stars!! I hope that the great memories that you have shared will be a source of comfort at this difficult time. Also very comforting are the words of Psalm 147:3 "He is healing the broken hearted ones." You fought a good fight, now rest in peace Michelle!!

I had the pleasure of working with Michele for two seasons at NBC Sports in the mid '90s. She was one of the kindest and sweetest people you would ever want to meet. Whenever I would go to the Letterman show it was always nice to see her come out during the commercial break and touch up Dave's makeup. Whomever I would take with me to the show I would always tell them that I know that girl. I am so saddened by her passing. My deepest condolences to Tommy, her children and all of her family. May God rest her soul.

She was real. I can tell that is why they loved her so. Filled with life and love. Brave and honest. Tributes from three great men, Mr. Costas, Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Letterman cannot be far from pure truth. How I wish I might have known her. But...perhaps on the other side. You are in my prayers now. Her essence will never die. A life well spent making others more beautiful with who she was! xo

A short while ago my daughter and I saw David Letterman's touching tribute to Michele's memory and Keith Oberman's comic remembrances of her humor and spirt. She sounds like she was a truly remarkable person. My 20 year old daughter has been fighting a rare form of bone cancer known as chordoma. When we heard about Michelle's brave struggle and read some of her cancer blog updates, we could relate to much of Michelle's emotional journey through uncertainty, hope, fear, sadness and ultimately the will to keep going. We wish only the best for her family in the future.

I am so sorry for your loss. I keep thinking back to when you and Michele first started dating. It was obvious that you were meant for each other from the very beginning. The way you looked when you would speak about her...I'm sure it never changed. Please know that you and your children are in my thoughts and prayers.

I can't believe I am reading this and Michele is no longer with us. I'm regretfully realizing I was in denial. Michele was the opitomy of strength, there is no way she wasn't going to be okay. My girl Michele has left me with a lot of laughs, slogans and stories. She was the best Mama Lion to her Cubs that I know and has the most awesome family. Mich...rest in peace my friend...Just won't be the same without you.
