Robert (Bob) Hallett Robert (Bob) Hallett, age 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021. Bob was born in Colfax, WA on June 16, 1928. He was number seven of eight children that his mother Rose raised on her own. Upon completion of high school, Bob joined the Navy and served from 1946-48. Bob moved to Southern California and attended CSULB and graduated in 1954. While attending college, he worked in a furniture store where he met his wife of 53 years, Erma (Garibay) Hallett who preceded him in death in Aug. 2009. Together, Bob and Erma, original and current owners of their home in Westminster, raised four children: Robert Hallett, Linda Wright, Lori Hallett, and John Hallett. The family enjoyed many beautiful Christmas Eve celebrations with the large and extended Garibay family. Summer road trips were a great adventure while piling into the family station wagon and traveling to visit the Hallett's and enjoy the beautiful and great outdoors of Eastern Washington. Bob was proud of his children and grandchildren: Robert Fay, Sarah Wright, Max Hallett, Tina Fay, and Patrick Wright. Bob spent his professional career at McMahan's Furniture Store and at Ford Consumer Credit. Both of these jobs allowed him to interact with others where his amazing people skills and unparalleled memory served him well. Bob will be remembered for his quick wit, love of telling jokes in hopes of leaving all he met with a smile, his love of playing cards, and most of all his love of family. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 29 at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Huntington Beach at noon-Family only. All are invited to an after-service celebration of Bob's amazing life of 93 years at his home in Westminster @ 1:30 pm. We ask that you only attend if vaccinated. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Robert Hallett Memorial Fund at California State University Long Beach 49er Foundation.
