Cheryl Lewis Obituary

Lewis, Cheryl,

Lewis, Cheryl Ann, 56, passed from this earth on Saturday, February 25, 2017 after a brief illness.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna C. Vogel; father, Oscar D. Lewis; and her grandparents, Anna and John Vogel.

She is survived by her brother, John D. Lewis (Jan); nephew, Christopher P. Lewis; niece, K. Michelle Lewis; cousin, Jo Ann Shanander (Bill); and many loved cousins.

Cheryl's closest family, for the past sixteen years, has been the staff, clients and residents of Dreams with Wings. They loved her unconditionally and gave her a life beyond anything we could have ever imagined. We give our most sincere appreciation to each and every one who was instrumental in her care and development. We know she will be greatly missed.

We also give thanks for the nursing staff and drs. at Baptist Health ER, ICU, and Palliative Care unit. Their gentle touch and professionalism is something we will not soon forget.

Cheryl's visitation will be Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm with service immediately following at 12:00 noon, all at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to "Dreams with Wings", 1579 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40205.
