Dad,
It has been about three weeks since you joined your beloved Kay in heaven with your daughter Vickie and the rest of the family. You are my inspiration on how to live and love those whom we touch each day of our lives. Dad, help us to cherish the memories that you have left and guide us through our tomorrows on earth until we meet with our heavenly father and the family in heaven.
Love, Your son Dink (Pete Jr.)

Grandpa, I will always remember the years we spent down at your house fixing the pipes, lawn mowers, etcs. You were my teacher. I would come down and we would talk and drink coffee for hours.I will miss you dearly and will always cherish the memories you gave me. Thank you for being such a wonderful father and grandpa to my dad and me. Don't worry I will take care of your son you can be with grandma and Vicki now.I love you grandpa; you are my hero.

What a wonderful [and oh so true] note from Donna!
I lost my Dad a few months ago. I wouldn't even have been able to say my own name in public. Petie, Buddy, Scotty, Jimbo, and all of the rest who spoke... did so for those of us who couldn't. "Vetter is Better!" I am very proud to share the same blood line with such wonderful people!

Dad, I was not able to speak at your memorial service, but you know what was in my heart and how much I love you and will always love you. I will always thank God that Pete and I were so fortunate to have such loving and caring parents and especially thank God for having you for 25 years longer after Mom's death. Our family has so many special and fun memories to help us thru this difficult time. Until we all meet again, I know you are happy with Our God and your heavenly family. Love, Donna
P.S. I was so proud of your son, my brother who was able to speak so eloquently of our Dad at your memorial service!!

Uncle Pete, You now know how special you were and always will be to Kate's Kids!!!!! Like Mom, anytime someone you knew walked into a room, you lit up. You were a great Santa (the best). You are the true epitome of unconditional love. You are the finest example of true humility and Love. We love you sooooo much and will miss. It's comforting to know that you are with my beloved mother because she loved you so much. We truly were so fortunate to have you as a row model, our unc & friend. The world will be a little less brighter with your passing, but we will see you again!!! Love Always, In Christ, Kathy & John Tluczek

Uncle Pete,
This great man was always good to me as a child and as and adult.
I have memories of things that he included me in that will last in my heart for ever and ever. He will always be my favorite Santa and my Uncle Pete. I pray that God watches over Peteie and Donna and their big family's and all of his big family.

I've always looked up to and respected uncle Pete. We shared the love of fishing, and I was fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with him doing just that. If everyone was more like him, the world would be a whole lot better off.

I will always remember Pete fondly..., his love, laughter and great times with family and friends. He was also a great lover of Lake Cumberland. I will be sure to sprinkle some good spirits over the lake for him. Pete's smiling face is what I will always remember when I think of him...standing next to his Katie. Donna, Clayton, Andrea and Rachel: my heart goes out to you. Pete was such a great father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Uncle Pete
Because of you, I love the outdoors, the lakes and the serenity of nature. Because of you, my childhood memories are filled with happy times on vacation, at the lake, and family picnics. I remember sitting in your lap, happy to just be next to you because you made me feel like no other kid was as special and wonderful as I was. I will always remember your chuckle and your smile - with and without your teeth. You showed us that all anyone needs for a happy life is family and a positive outlook.
It’s comforting to know you are with all those we have lost before you - and you all are celebrating your arrival with a grand buffet.
You were the the finest, the most wonderful man I’ve ever known and I feel the greatest honor has been bestowed on me to have you as my uncle. I will miss you all the days of my life.

I inherited Uncle Pete’s love for fishing, his since of humor, and his ability to “fix anything.”
I am especially happy to know he was in God’s good graces and that I will see him again in Heaven one day. Maybe we’ll go out and catch some Brim the size of footballs in one of the Lords favorite spots.
I love you Uncle Pete… looking forward to seeing you again.
Your loving nephew,
David
PS: Grandma Vetter should have written a book on how to raise such exceptional children. She deserved a metal.

My mother is Linda Goodman Love, she grew up with your family and sends her deepest condolences. She wants you to know that you are all on her mind and in her heart. She was very fond of "Uncle Pete" and she tells wonderful stories of the Vetter family and her closest childhood friend "Vickie", whom she named her oldest daughter after. She is saddend by this loss but finds comfort in knowing he will be joining his wife and daughter in paradise.
