Wilbur Gleitz Obituary

LANESVILLE GLEITZ, WILBUR P., 82, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. He was born in Franklin Township, IN, on March 6, 1926, the son of Albert Christian and Katherine Johana Blank Gleitz. He was a retired chemical operator for B.F. Goodrich in Louisville, and was a farmer. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lanesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irma F. Gleitz; and two sisters, Mary Jawtak and Alberta Gleitz. He is survived by two sons, John W. Gleitz (Leanne), of Louisville, and Richard A. Gleitz (Jerry) of Arp, TX; three daughters, Glenda Elliott (Bob), of Alexandria, VA, Annetta Price (Frank), and Betty Schmelz (Kenneth), both of Lanesville; one sister, Zelma Higginbotham (Kenneth) of Lanesville; and nine grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lanesville, IN, Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Richard Heinz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon noon-9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the St. John's New Church Building Fund.
