William Hysinger Obituary

Hysinger Sr., William L.,

of Simpsonville, KY passed away Thursday, January 11th 2018 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville KY while surrounded by family. He was 72.

Known to most as Bill, he was born February 14th, 1945 in Berea, KY to Ray and Lorene Hysinger. Bill was the 3rd of 4 children. He grew up in the Highlands neighborhood of Louisville and attended Atherton High School and later Western Kentucky University.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends and the peace and quiet of his beloved farm in Shelby County. He loved traveling with family, spending weekends at the river house, napping in his hammock, and working around the farm. Bill was especially fond of spoiling his 4 grandchildren, of whom he was most proud. He lived a life of compassion and thoughtfulness to others, and was quick to offer help or advice to those in need. His warm generous nature and loving, gentle soul will be missed terribly by those who loved him.

Always driven and motivated, Bill worked as a real estate developer and entrepreneur for most of his career.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory wife Hattie Susan, sons Lyle (Tawnya), and Lee (Courtnee), four grandchildren, brothers Larry and Eddie Hysinger and countless family and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lorene Hysinger, and sister Sharon Powell (Haag).

Visitation is scheduled for 2pm to 8pm, Monday, January 15th 2018 at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home in Middletown. The funeral will be Tuesday, January 16th 2018 at Ratterman Brothers as well, with burial to follow at Grove Hill cemetery in Shelbyville, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the University of Kentucky's Alzheimer's Disease Center in Bill's name.

Susan, Larry, Eddie, children and grandchildren.

Just found out about Billy. I am in shock! Our friendship ran deep. He was the best-est of the best. I am and have always been so very proud of him. He loved his family and his kind ways made him so special. His type of friendship does not happen often. I was so blessed to have been a fellow traveler with him. I am sad and already feel a great loss without his presence in my life. Charlie Rogers
