David Brundage Obituary

BRUNDAGE, DAVID M. SR., 60, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2013 with family and friends by his side.

David was a Master Hand Engraver and owner of Brundage Engravers and Jewelers, for over 35 years. He had many prestigious accounts including Churchill Downs where he hand engraved the Kentucky Derby Trophy for 30 years; designed, manufactured and engraved The Breeders Cup Championship Trophy as well as each piece he did for his many customers.

David attended Trinity High School '71 and Gem City College, Quincy, IL as an engraver. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lalla G. Brundage.

He is survived by his children, Anne Brundage and David M. Brundage Jr.; grandson Elijah Montalvo; father, William E. Brundage Sr.; his sisters, Julie Hottel and Barbara Johanboeke (Milt); his brother, Bill Brundage Jr. (Cindy); mother of his children Lisa Brundage; 18 nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great-nephews. Important people in his life include Susan Diamond, Brittany Diamond, Larry Klein and Jay Klempner.

Visitation will be held 11a.m. November 21, 2013 at Beargrass Christian Church 4100 Shelbyville Road, St. Matthews, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to The American Cancer Society.
