of Westford, MA
WESTFORD -- Joseph W. Tamburino, age 76, passed away on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Genesis Westford House after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Lois A. (Suffredini) Tamburino who passed away in 2002.
Joseph was born in Boston on August 14, 1941, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Zinkowski) Tamburino. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 until 1965 and was a resident of Westford since 1972.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a consultant and hospital administrator at Lowell General Hospital and Lawrence General Hospital. Joseph was also a Certified Master Gardener with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.
He is survived by his daughter Amy J. Tamburino of Westford; a sister Ann Killion of Plymouth, MA; a brother-in-law Peter Suffredini and his wife Diane, of Medford; also many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Joseph John Tamburino who passed away in 2004.
TAMBURINO -- Family and friends may gather to honor and remember Joseph at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD, on Monday, Nov. 6 from 4 to 7pm. His funeral will take place from the Funeral Home, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock followed by a Graveside Service at 11:30 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society at www.HSUS.org.
