Donald Blanchette Obituary
Donald Arthur Blanchette, 67, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Thursday, February 04, 2021 at his home. Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late Edward and Rita (Asselin) Blanchette.
Donald was raised in Lowell, graduated from Lowell Trade School with the class of 1971. He retired from Greater Lowell Technical High School in 2018.
Donald was a member of the American Legion Post 247 in Tyngsborough, MA.
He is survived by a brother, Norman Blanchette and a sister, Gail Oliver both of Lowell, MA. He is also survived by three step sisters, Christine Kopycinski of Maine, Eriika Kopycinski of Nashua, NH, Robin Lavertu of Colorado and their families; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many close friends and also acquaintances that he met at the American Legion.
Donald was the brother of the late Roger Blanchette and Janet Dube.
Memorial Service Wednesday at 10am in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford, MA 01824. Please follow Covid-19 protocols. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041. Guestbook at www.dolanfuneralhome.com.
