I went from a nowhere state college in southeast Missouri, via a scholarship to Cornell, where I gained a Master's degree and a husband, whom I helped with his PhD and with whom I have written and published a lifetime of scholarly articles and books in medieval history, and continue to do so at the age of 84. Eleanor, to her dismay but to my very good fortune condemned to teach for a while at that dinky college, was the wellspring and continuing encouragement for it all.

A wonderful lady and long time friend in East Lansing, Michigan. In the mid-1960s, She was a founding member of an experimental non-geographical Catholic parish in the diocese of Lansing and saw the Community of John the 23rd grow to 25 families and replicate the vibrant early days of Catholicism and promoting the growth and exercise of Christian faith for many years until its assimilation into St. John Student Parish in East Lansing. We join her relatives and friends in Minnesota in celebrating a life dedicated to spiritual and academic excellence . Vic and Elaine Weipert.

An excellent and memorable educator at Michigan State. I was in her class 41 years ago and have never forgotten her. Rest In Peace.
