Mary Crimmins Obituary

Mary Frances Crimmins Lansing Age 61, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Friday, November 5. She was born on November 7, 1948 in Port Huron, Michigan to parents Edward and Marjorie Crimmins. She graduated from Saints Peter & Paul High School in Saginaw, MI. She pursued a lifelong career in nursing serving others with compassion and care. She is survived by her life partner Carol Grayhawk, father Edward Crimmins, eight siblings, Kathleen Hammond, Dennis (Jo) Crimmins, Christine (Kevin) Smith, Terry (Nancy) Crimmins, Brian (Beth) Crimmins, Maureen (Steve) Crowell, Kevin (Christine) Crimmins and Marty (Bernie) Crimmins, Carol's son Darol (Holly) Dangler, grandchildren Melissa, Elijah, Alana, Jana and Nathan, 30 nieces and nephews, dog Bounder, church family and numerous special friends. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, swimming, reading, hiking and fishing. She volunteered with Edgewood Health Ministry and the Greater Lansing Food Bank. She touched everyone she met with her love, friendship and understanding. She was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie (Curley) Crimmins and brother-in-law Earl Hammond. The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at McClaren Hospice and Dr. Layhe's office for their compassionate care to Mary and her family during her illness. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 12 noon, Edgewood United Church of Christ, 469 N. Hagadorn Rd., East Lansing Donations in her honor can be made to the Edgewood United Church of Christ, or the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
