Dear Mitchell and Beautiful Children and Adorable Grandson
Renée and I grew up together in a lovely neighborhood. The best memories I have of Renée are definitely all the silly firsts we had discovered together!
Renée had such inward beauty from a pretty young age. I think of us growing up and the countless hours we spent giggling in our basement and swimming pool.
She adored all of her beautiful children and grandson and I am grateful that we were able to reconnect! We shared many photos and I could tell from her voice how genuinely happy she really was.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I have had the privilege of spending countless hours in the Wood Home since I was a teenager. I've often said that it's my very favorite place in the entire World. It's a place filled with love, embodied by acceptance and good will, and upon stepping inside everyone knows it. Mitch and Renee welcomed, even encouraged any and all to pass by for a meal, game or simply a few laughs at nearly any hour. Together they've made that home exactly what it means to so many now, including myself. As a younger boy in constant anticipation to share an obscure statistic or make the room laugh, I wasn't always able to pick up on and appreciate the subtleties of Mrs. Wood's nature until I got older. But Renee had a way of showing that sometimes waiting for just the right moment for a punchline or reference is far better than looking for it in every turn of a conversation. Looking back, I believe Mrs. Wood taught me to listen often, and remain patient. This has carried on in not just my personal life, but professionally as well as I now work in a high school. Mrs. Wood made time for everyone, and each of ought do the same. Each time I walk into the Wood's home I'm certain Mrs. Wood's presence will remain, but she will be sorely missed. I'm lucky to be a friend of the Woods, and am a better person for knowing Renee.

Dear Mitch and Family , we want to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of your wife , mother and grandmother. Its been awhile since I would run into her at Krogers and we would catch up on the family. She had a beautiful smile and always so kind and her humor gave me a chuckle, she will be missed . She left behind a beautiful family that I know she was proud of! You all will be in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely with sympathy, George, Linda and the Snyder Family

Dear Mitch, Aaron, Graham, Casey and Lydia, I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a good person and had such a wonderful personality, it was always good to see her. My thoughts are with you through this difficult time. Comfort each other with her memories and all she has done for you and others. You will laugh again. Take time for yourselves and as a family. What a remarkable woman. Nancy Coleman

Our hearts hurt for the loss of our dear sweet friend Renee. So many good times and precious moments shared together. One of my favorites is the time her and I took a horse taxi back to the cottage after dinner on Mackinac Island. We had the giggles, like 2 school girls,we just couldn't stop laughing. Rest easy Re-knee your your suffering is over.
