Dr Charles Cutts had a huge impact on my life. He was my Dad's boss at MSU. He was involved in the admin and leadership of our Scout Troop, Tr 164, which produced quite a few Eagles including George and myself. I will always remember him in his study, smoking his pipe and keeping an eye on George and I when we were only knee high to a grasshopper. My deepest codolences to Beth, Nola, george Jr, Stephanie, Betsy and Paul. Grandpa Cutts will be missed.

I will miss you always, Pa Cutts. But part of me is glad that Ma Cutts is no longer waiting for you. Give her a kiss for me and have her do the same to you.

Grandpa, I'm so glad to have known you and loved you. Thank you for your encouragement through college and the beginning of graduate school. I've always loved and appreciated your letters and phone calls and I am so saddened that they can't continue. Thank you for sharing your stories, for always being concerned about the mountain weather, and for always saying how proud you were of me and my brothers and sister. I'm glad you're at peace and can be reunited with Grandma Jane and Dad.
Love, Betsy (and Stephanie, Paul, Sam, and George Jr.)

My memories of Mr. Cutts (I can't imagine calling him anything else, I was too young when I met him--8, I think?) are of a warm and gentle man, with a sly sense of humor. He will be missed. May memories of him bring you smiles and peace. Hugs to the whole family.

Dear Beth and Jesse,

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Uncle Charlie was a terrific guy. I always thought of him as a role model, and he's one of the reasons I decided to go into college teaching.

All of the South Carolina Bebensees remember so fondly the family reunion your folks put together for all of in Omaha in about 1993. I smile when I think about Jane and Charlie being back together again now.

Charlie was also a great friend to my Dad, particularly over the last few years. He so looked forward to their weekly Saturday morning phone calls. Thank you for your many kindnesses in fielding Bruce's phone calls when he had trouble reaching Charlie.

We will be with you in spirit on Saturday morning. I tried calling the number my Dad said was your cell number, but I got the voice mail of someone else. Please know we're thinking about you. Mark, Mary, Alan, and Lorraine Bebensee
