RICHARD W. CUTTS

CUTTS, Richard W. Mr. Richard W. Cutts, age 73, of Lynn, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, after a chronic illness. He was the son of the late Warren R. and Ruth L. (Hanlon) Cutts. Richard was a graduate of Lynn English High School and held an A.S. from North Shore Community College. He worked in the hotel industry for over 20 years and held the Certified Hospitality Administrator Designation. He later went to work for the Lynn Fire Department, retiring as a Supervising Fire Alarm Operator after 25 years of service. He was a Certified Instructor and Moderator for the International Signal Association. He was also a driving instructor, Certified Construction Supervisor and a licensed Real Estate Salesperson. Richard was active in the fire service industry serving as former Chairman of the Board of the Boston Sparks Association, Operators of the Boston Fire Museum, Past President of the Essex County Fire Wardens, the Box 41 Associates and the Box 52 Association. He was active in the International Fire Buff Associates serving as their Convention Coordinator. He was also named the IFBA Fire Buff of the Year in 2011. He leaves behind his sister, Elaine Robinson of Plymouth; a niece, Jennifer Robinson; and a nephew, John Robinson. Richard's Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, LYNN. His Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Richard's name to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, c/o Development, 10 Anna's Place, Dedham, MA 02026 or to an Animal Rescue of your choice.
