While I only had 2 weeks with you while you were backing Frankie Avelon in St. Louis. You were the one that helped me through the roughest part of my life with your saying of, "Straight Ahead". Those two words have stuck with me through the last 47 years. Having you to our house for dinner was indeed very special to me and my family. Thank you for being you.

Bobby I called you in '79 to say hi! you were tired from being on tour and couldn't talk. You were one busy man in those day's, but in '74 you made time to teach me on drums. Thank you and Bev and all your family for that time. And I'm still playing "babe"! Sincerely Rob Fleming.

BOBBY YOU KEPT ME AND MY DRUMMING SPIRIT ROLLING WHEN I WANTED TO GIVE UP. I WILL ALWAYS THINK OF THAT LOVING SMILE

Bobby was God's gift to the percussion community. He was one of the true great artists of his craft. He was respected among the great drummers of all time, such as the likes of Buddy Rich, and Louie Bellson. He gave so much of his time and talent to teach young drummers and music students. We shared so many laughs and good times together. I miss you so much Bobby... 2 and 4 man!
