MARILYN CASAROTTO Obituary

MARILYN CASAROTTO Marilyn J. Casarotto, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away May 1, 2012. She was born Dec. 26, 1930 in Albany, N.Y., where she lived for over 30 years. In Albany, she met her love of her life, Al Casarotto. They moved to Las Vegas in 1961. Marilyn was a 51-year resident of Las Vegas, where she spent the rest of her years. Marilyn's husband, Albert V. Casarotto, passed away April 10, 2007. She wished to be with him and now they are reunited as soulmates. They dedicated their lives to each other. Marilyn possessed a unique sweetness which she nurtured the best in her friends and her family. She enjoyed her visits from her Godson, Mark Alden, and his lovely wife, Tunga. They would bring their two lovable female Shih Tzu dogs, Gigi and Sara, who would play house with Marilyn, their Godmother. Her good friend, Anna Marie, would visit Marilyn often and have wonderful conversations about life. Her cousins from Massachusetts, her wonderful neighbors and many friends dearly loved her. All will miss Marilyn immensely. Marilyn is survived by her Godson, Mark Alden; and three cousins, Margaret Peters Walsh and Charles Walsh of Canton, Mass., and Edward Walsh of Shreveport, La. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, with Reverend Tom Montelaro officiating, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89146.

Marilyn, we tend to be very selfish during times like this, thinking about how your passing affects our lives. But, I'm glad you're in a much happier place, once again next to Al. Although you are gone, you will not be forgotten. Your memory will live on in those you have touched. Rest comfortably, knowing you did leave a mark on the world.

Marilyn, I miss you and enjoyed talking to you so much about out family like. I remember when you brought your first car to our house. You use to sunbathe at the back of our home. My two sons, Edward and Charlie, also miss you and have prayed for your afterlife with your husband, Al. We still remeber the cookouts with soft ice cream in the back yard. Love Always, Margaret Peter Walsh.
