Mr. Baetens, I know we never met but I was friends with your son Nick and daughter Natalee. Our friend Karic and I were unfortunately not able to make it to the viewing tonight, but we both wanted to wish our best to you and your family and let them know that we are always here. Nick and Natalee, hang in there! I know it must be hard, but there's always light at the end of every tunnel. You'll see each other again someday. Until then, he will always be with you in your hearts.

Baetens family, We are deeply saddened by your loss. I have fond memories of Mike thru my high school years. The many 7:00 a.m.Sunday mornings, hunting with Tom Baetens 22 rifle, that we should not have had. The police took Mike and I home, after hearing the gun going off in the woods down the street. We were more worried about what Tom ( Mike's brother ) was going to do, than what our parents were going to do. I have many other great memories that I will remember. We will meet again Mike.

I hung out with Mike in high school. He drove the orange "heavy chevy", a motorcycle, and played piano. He had a reallly deep voice and great deep belly laugh. May he rest in peace.
