One could not have a more faithful friend or more excellent colleague than Mario. His selfless, contagious joy was perhaps best reflected in the wonderful photos he took of others. You will see no more beautiful smile on any human being than what Mario could elicit. I already miss him so, but at the same time I thank God for the pure gift of his presence in my life for almost 30 years.

Mario's specialty was that he made you feel special. I fondly remember working with him at HAP. We always seemed to run into each other at the Ann Arbor Art Fair among 100,000 of our best friends!

My prayers are with family and friends of Mario. He was and active member of the Michigan Society of Patient Represetatives and served as a beacon of light and encouragment of new members. His positive demeaner and smile served as encouragement to everyone meeting him, and has left the world a better plane because of him.

Mario's innovative and collaborative spirit was valued at HAP and HFHS. He was always available and willing to work with me to market my clinics at insurance events. He was a true friend who could be counted on when you needed him. He has made a difference in many lives and will be remembered.

Mario left the world a better place and will be missed by all who knew him. While his camera captured life's special moments, his spirit created them. I will treasure those moments as I did Mario.

Mario always gave fully of himself to every activity he pursued --- his work at HAP, his photography, his fight to live beyond his illness. I was delighted to see him and his camera with so many friends at the HAP celebration 18 months ago.
