Dear Sandy, dear Micky and dear Brad,
With huge dismay and great sadness I learned today about the death of Bill. The news entered my heart and mind. From my own painful experience I know how it feels to lose one parent. Bill was unique. Although it is now more than 24 years ago, I can still remember exactly how warm and friendly Bill welcomed and parented me in the U.S. Further, I will never forget his risotto, his laugh and the numerous conversations with him and Sandy on the porch. I would like to express my heartfelt and deepest condolences to you.
Thinking of you

There are so many who pass through our lives without leaving a mark. This was not the case with Bill (Jack to me). Always giving a smile and a kind word. The time I was allowed to share with Bill and Sandy will always be very fondly cherished.
Respectfully, Mitzi

Growing up on Manning and hanging out at "Uncle" Bill's and "Aunt" Sandy's brings back many great memories. Rest in peace and God Bless.

My family was so sorry for your loss. My parents wish they could have been home, but are on the road. They wanted to convey their condolensces. I have very found memories of "Uncle Bill" both as a child growing up on Tacoma and as an adult. He will be greatly missed. If I can do anything I am here. Much love and prayers are with your whole family right now.

Sandy, Mick and Brad,
I was saddened to hear of the death of Bill. Another good person gone. Forever I will remember his kindness, his generosity. I will remember our Colorado trip when he brought Mick to cheer on the gymnasts. I will continue to hear the "hee-yaa" upon seeing a stuck landing...or any landing for that matter. I was lucky and blessed to have known him and I will pray for him. I am so sorry for your loss. Rosanne Swaney

Bill, you took me into your Family and treated me as your own son. I am so thankful for having you and your Family in my life. It was a Honor and Joy to call you my Father in Law. Not just In law Sir, in my Heart. I love you Dad and I will see you again. Karl
