Professor Ben Tate was my favorite teacher and a friend to those who knew him. As a night student I would run into him at McDonald's near campus before class and we enjoyed many interesting conversations. I was very glad that I got to visit with him at Brookdale while by Mother was also a resident there. He always told me to call him Ben but I enjoyed addressing him as Professor Tate to reflect the great respect I have for him. I would tell him he was my favorite professor and we would laugh together. The world and education will miss his talents. My prayers for his family and his many friends.
