JESSIE BURKE Obituary
Born June 20, 1945 in Union City, Ohio, she was a daughter of Leo F. and Maragaret C. (Geyer) Mock.
Jessie had worked for the USDA Rural Development prior to her retirement and was a member of London Chapter No. 386, OES; Ladies Auxiliary No. 950 FOE, London, and was actively involved as the Mother Advisor of London Assembly No. 208-International Order of Rainbow for Girls.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Walter "Eddie" Burke; her parents; stepfather, Anthony Gerlach; and great-grandsons, Dalton Altizer and Jordan Hederson.
Survivors include her son, James L. (Whitney) Burke; granddaughter who she raised, Jacqueline (Jeff) Altizer; grandchildren, Rielea and Jimini Wilkinson, Alex, Lillian and Cory Burke; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Christian Adelsberger, Abigail, Kelsey and Hailey Altizer; sisters, Karen Barhorst and Angela (Jay) Harmenson; brother, Michael (Lauri) Gerlach; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jacquie (Glasscoe) Choate, Angela (Lavy) Rooks, Jo Ann Burke, Judy Stromquist and Shirley Drumm.
Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, where Eastern Star services will be offered at 7:30 p.m. by London Chapter No. 386. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Greenville Township Memorial Garden, Greenville, Ohio.
Memorial contributions to be made to Ohio Rainbow's "Terri Sue Hawk Berry Memorial Membership Fund" In Memory of Jessie F. Burke. Contributions may be mailed to In Care of Whitney Poma, 316 W. First Ave., Columbus, OH 43201.

Jessie has been my "other Mother" for 40 years, and her place in my life was very special to me. We shared so many memories over the years and I will miss her just as much as I do my own parents. My prayers and sympathy goes out to her family that loved her, too. We were all blessed to have such a sweet, loving woman in our lives, and her loss will leave a empty place in our hearts.
