MELVIN NEFF JR. Obituary
He was born May 21, 1938 in Columbus, to Melvin and Betty (Angle) Neff.
Mel graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1956.
He worked in the construction and roofing industry and owned his own company for many years.
Mel was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Neff Sr.
Mel is survived by his mother, Betty (Angle) Neff; sister, Beverly (Paul) Murray, both of West Jefferson, Ohio; five children, Steve (Lisa) Neff, Kevin (Ruth Mays) Neff, Traci Heath, Bradley Neff and Lisa (Neff); 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and loving companion, Viola Wilson.
Services are planned for Spencer United Methodist Church, 201 E. Main, Spencer, at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will continue at American Legion, 518 S. Main, Wellington, at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SUMC, P.O. Box 125, Spencer, OH 44275 or Crossroads Hospice.

Beverly, I'm very sorry about Mel. Please extend my condolences to your Mother. Mel and I were in first grade together at Fairfield, but then I went back to Jeff for second on. He was a good classmate and a great teammate. I'm better to have known him.
